So since I moved to Illinois I haven't been able to find a salon I really love! Anyone who knows Jill knows that one of my favorite things is getting my hair done! I think I am a little obsessed! So I drive by this salon everyday to work called Spa Bleu...it looked amazing, which means it is way expensive, but I wanted to give it a try. So I looked at their prices on line and decided I was only going to get a partial highlight for $70! While I get there and the lady doing my hair asks if I want a some low lights to contrast the blonde. I was like sure! ( my hair was getting a little too blonde) So then while she is washing my hair she asks, "do you want a head massage?" Of course I thought, that's the best part! So after she dries my hair, since it is short I need a little trim on my neckline to reshape my hair. So she trims maybe a centimeter! Then she blow dries and styles! I love it! I go to the counter to pay and the total comes to $130....I was shocked! How did a $70 highlight turn into $130! Well the lady tells me I was charged for the highlight, extra color, head massage, and cut! I was livid! I have had my hair done over a dozen times and all of that is usually included Right? I had to break the news to Chris....who thought I looked hot so he didn't mind the money! But I was so mad, I was totally scammed....I guess that is one of the joys of living in the city! Everything is expensive!

Ooo that would tick me off I hate that! Something similar happened to me here in Fresno one time when I came to visit and I walked out paying way more than I planned. I dont even know who to go to out here now and my roots are getting long :( Man I miss Idaho!
Ewww! I'm so bugged for you Jill. The whole hair thing is a joke now not being in Utah or Idaho! I'm totally like Holly right now with the roots. I don't know where to go. It's about $130 in New Hampshire for the cut and partial color. Therefore, I don't want to pay $130 and not love it. I'm cheap. I probably would have thrown a fit and refused to pay a $130. I'm a brat like that though. haha You need to post some pics of your new hair!

ouch! that hurts! they ask sweetly like they are doing you a favor but never tell you they are just adding it to the tab! Well, I think you need to post a picture of your $130 hair-do!!
My roots are terrible right now but I don't want to pay over $100 on it. I have really been considering going dark because of this whole thing. The worst part about that story is that you were tricked into it. I guess I can see how they would charge for a second color but not for a head massage!!! that's the best part about getting your hair done. I bet it looks really cute though!
Oh! I would be so mad! I bet it looks adorable though... let's see some pics! I got my hair done in Memphis and she did a horrible job and it was the most I've ever paid. There is nothing like a good hair color though!
Yeah that's dumb Jill! I feel kind of bad cz when we were talking on the phone I told you that they do that stuff for free huh! Oops! They usually do, so they were way deceiving! I agree with everyone though that I'm dying to see your hair-cut!
