I have been struggling the last couple of weeks trying to figure out what to update our blog with..pictures of Hudson pulling everything out of the cupboards, putting his hand prints all over the TV, or me wanting to pull my hair out, complaining and feeling sorry for myself, wishing I could be cute and glamorous like before. Then my mom shared this video about Stephanie Nielson, her thoughts on motherhood, and Oh how my thoughts on motherhood has changed.
I am not the perfect mom, nor do I pretend to be. But how grateful I am to be a mom!! We had my old coworkers over for a BBQ a couple of weeks past, and one asked. " So when are you going to return to work?" My answer "Never." Her look was that of astonishment. And at that moment I felt small. When really I want to say, " YES I am a MOM!!! And what I am doing is more than anything else." My mom stayed at home with us, and I remember in third grade realizing that not all moms do. I remember thinking I am grateful mine does or I would be lonely.
Anyways I wanted to remember this moment of feeling divine because I know the moment will pass and I will again have to remind myself. So Happy Mother's Day to all moms!!!
