Chris and I decided to take advantage of our three day weekend and do a little vacation here in Illinois. We like to call it our staycation ...we drove up to Northern Illinois Coast Line, which is only an hour away, and stayed at a hotel on the beach. The weather was warm and the beach was gorgeous..we felt like we were on the west again. 
The night before we found a driving range and decided to hit some balls...I was terrible! 
The beach was surprisingly not as busy as we expected for Memorial Weekend. 
I can't get over how much Hudson loved it...he played in the sand for hours, then took a nap in a towel and played some more.
It was a great way to kick off our summer!!!

How fun! Hudson looks so grown up! I can't believe it :) It's only Sunday though so you guys probably have more fun comin...I can't wait to see you guys in July!
He is so cute! I can't believe he's one, he looks so big compared to Kyson. Glad you guys had a fun weekend!
