Choo Choo Cafe

A bunch of us girls decided to do another field trip over to north Chicago to a Choo Choo Cafe. We left early in the morning to catch the train to the city. Well only half of our group made the first train! Yes I was on the otherside of the train when it arrived, thinking I would have time to run over to the other side to get on. Well city trains only stop for like 30 seconds, so I am running trying to make it and watch as it pulls away. So three of us girls had to wait an hour for the next train.

It was about a 45 minute train ride...the other boys did great! Hudson on the other hand, was like sacrament meeting all over again. He could not sit still. When we finally made it to the restaurant, I just let him run around ( which I normally do not do) The Cafe was adorable, with hamburgers, french fries, and shakes all served by an electric train. The boys got a kick out of it!

I was dreading the way back....45 mins on a train with a tired one year old did not sound fun! Hudson did not disappoint, meltdown the entire way, plus a messy diaper that made me want to gag. I felt bad for all passengers on our cart. I am sure every business man and woman were looking at me like, calm your crazy child!!! I just knew we would get home and he would take a good long nap. Nope he was wide awake ready to go!

I think my day ended with me having a meltdown to my mom!!!! I guess my one year old son and I have something in common :)

Oh that sounds like a long day with Hudson, but lots of fun at the same time. Making memories right? :)

You make me laugh! Sounds like a fun time minus the melt downs and dirty diaper! I swear, once babies hit around 15 months...the terrible 2's start. And then the 2's aren't so bad!Love ya!

Oh my goodness, Jill! I bet all those businessmen and women were thinking "I wish I had such an adorable little boy to go home to instead of my miserable dog that pees everywhere while I'm at work all day"!
