During the Summer we had this crazy idea to do a girls trip with my Chicago girls! As we were talking about it, I thought we were just dreaming but last weekend Camille & Julie headed out for what turned out to be one of the best weekends of my life!!
Day 1- What do you do in NYC...lots of shopping! We took the train into Grand Central, headed to Bryant Park for lunch, and shopped our way to Time Square. We had no agenda, kids, or a time to be back so we enjoyed our slow pace through the stores. We even played a tune on the Big Piano featured in the movie "Big." Then that night we headed to the Plaza for dinner and enjoyed the nicest waiter ever!!
Day 2- Chris dropped us off at our hotel and we took a taxi down to Soho for lunch. We went to my favorite place Balthazars and enjoyed a three hour discussion at the restaurant. I love these girls! I think every restaurant we were there a minimum of three hours, just talking about life! To me there is nothing better than a good chat with real close girlfriends! We walked down to the Twin Towers and Statue of Liberty. It was pretty late heading back so we took the subway back up to our hotel, grabbed a shake in Rockefeller Center (again chatted till midnight) then crashed!
Day 3- As we walked out of our hotel, there was a Farmers Market along the entire street! It was such a nice surprise. (another reason why I love New York) We grabbed some sunglasses and cupcakes on our way to the Theater District for Newsies. Seriously was one of the best Broadways I have seen. I loved the music, all boy cast, and dancing! We all agreed one of the highlights of the trip! We had to sit in Bryant Park for a bit to talk about how amazing the show was! Then we headed to John's Pizzeria for dinner and talked forever!! We grabbed New York Cheesecake at Juniors to take back to our hotel for a late night snack! (yes we did a lot of eating)
Day 4- The last day we spent in Central Park. It was a perfect Fall day in New York, and the park was beautiful. Saying that I miss these girls doesn't even describe how sad I was to see them leave! (I was also sad my other girlfriends couldn't make it) They truly are the best friends any girl would want! I am grateful for our husbands that knew that this trip was just what we needed!! (You guys are the best)

Jill what a great post! It still feels unreal that it happened! It truly was a dream vacation and the fun never stopped. There are few people in this world that I could literally talk to for 24 hrs. Day for 4 days--you and Julie are two of them! You're a great and true friend. Love you!
I love this!!! To read about our heavenly vacation! Aahh - it was heaven!!! Thanks for showing us around the town and taking us to so many delicious restaurants where they don't rush you out the door. Love you!
Loved your "picture overload"! I'm so glad you got to have this time with such great friends!! I really want to come to New York!
